Staq Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Overview

Staq ("we", "us", "the app") is a personal peptide and protocol tracking app. This policy explains what data the app processes, how it is used, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the choices you have. Staq is for personal tracking and recordkeeping only and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Data we collect

You provide most of the data in Staq directly:

  • Tracking content: protocols, dose logs, wellness notes, body measurements, progress metrics, compounds, and vials you enter.
  • Progress photos you choose to add. Photos are stored on your device. Pro subscribers may optionally back up photos to Firebase Storage.
  • Account identifier: an anonymous identifier via Firebase Anonymous Authentication, or a local-only device ID if Firebase is not configured. We do not require your name, email, or phone number to use the app.
  • Subscription status: purchase and entitlement status via RevenueCat and the Apple App Store. We do not collect or store your full payment card details; payment is handled by Apple.
  • Coach and AI messages: messages and the app-context snapshot you send to Staq Coach or the AI protocol builder are processed by our AI provider (Groq, or an HTTPS proxy you configure) solely to generate a reply. We send only what is needed to answer your request.
  • Referral codes you optionally enter during onboarding.

We do not collect location data, contacts, or advertising identifiers.

How we use data

  • To provide core app functionality: tracking, reminders, analytics, inventory, and protocol management.
  • To generate AI replies you request in Coach and the protocol builder.
  • To manage your subscription and unlock paid functionality.
  • To provide customer support when you contact us (for example, using your support ID).

We do not use your data for third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Data storage and retention

  • Primary storage is on your device (AsyncStorage).
  • Pro subscribers may sync tracking data to Google Firebase (Firestore and Storage) for backup.
  • Tracking data is retained until you delete it. Using "Delete all data" in Settings removes your local Staq data on the device and requests deletion of your cloud user data (Firestore and Storage) where applicable. Backups and provider logs may take additional time to fully expire.
  • Subscription records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained according to their own policies.
  • AI providers may retain transient request logs according to their own policies; we do not use Coach messages to build a profile of you.

How to revoke consent or request deletion

  • You can stop AI processing at any time by not using Coach or the AI protocol builder.
  • You can remove your data at any time using Settings, then "Delete all data," which clears local data and requests cloud deletion.
  • For any additional deletion or privacy request, contact us at the email below and we will respond.

Third-party services

These providers process limited data to deliver their part of the service, and are expected to protect it consistent with this policy:

  • Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage) - anonymous identity and optional cloud backup.
  • RevenueCat and the Apple App Store - subscription and billing status.
  • Groq or your configured Coach API proxy - AI replies for Coach and the protocol builder.

We do not sell your personal data.

Health disclaimer

Staq is for personal tracking only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and its analytics and AI features are not a substitute for professional judgment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making medical decisions.

Children

Staq is not directed to children and is not intended for users under the age required by your local app store and applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, they are used to deliver dose reminders related to your protocols. You can disable them at any time in your device settings or in the app.

For privacy questions or data requests, contact us at getstaq@gmail.com. You can also find developer contact information on the app's App Store listing.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
